SAN ANGELO, TX — The Angelo State football program has finalized its 2026 schedule, head coach Jeff Girsch announced, with the Rams set to play six home games for the first time since 2019.
Angelo State opens the season Thursday, Aug. 27, hosting Fort Hays State in a nonconference matchup at 1st Community Credit Union Field at LeGrand Stadium. The Rams will then travel to Gunnison, Colorado, to face Western Colorado on Sept. 3 in their final nonconference game.
After an open week, Angelo State begins Lone Star Conference play Sept. 19 at home against West Texas A&M.
The Rams hit the road Sept. 26 for their first conference road game, traveling to Monmouth, Oregon, to face Western Oregon.
Angelo State returns home for a two-game homestand, hosting Central Washington on Oct. 3 for Family Day before welcoming Sul Ross State on Oct. 10 for Homecoming.
The Rams then travel to Midwestern State on Oct. 17 before returning home Oct. 24 to face Texas A&M-Kingsville in the program’s annual Breast Cancer Awareness game.
Angelo State closes the regular season with road games at UT Permian Basin and Western New Mexico, with a Nov. 7 home finale against Eastern New Mexico serving as both Military Appreciation Day and Senior Day.
The Rams finished with a 6-5 overall record last season and look to bounce back and challenge for another LSC Championship.
