How to Watch the Spurs in the NBA Finals

SAN ANTONIO, TX  — For the first time since 2014, the San Antonio Spurs are four wins away from another NBA Championship.

The 2026 NBA Finals will feature a rematch 27 years in the making as the Spurs face the New York Knicks. The teams last met in the 1999 NBA Finals, when San Antonio captured its first title. It remains New York’s most recent appearance in the Finals.

San Antonio is listed as a 4.5-point favorite, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, with the over/under set at 218.5 points.

The home team has won each of the last nine regular-season meetings between the teams.

The Spurs come off a wild series, where San Antonio downed the defending league champion, the Oklahoma City Thunder, in seven games in the Western Conference Finals. Victor Wembanyama took over the series in the latter half of the series to put the Thunder away. Wembanyama averaged 27.3 points, 10.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.7 blocks in the WCF.

The New York Knicks had a slightly easier path to the finals. The Knicks swept the Cleveland Cavaliers, 4-0, to return to the finals. New York is led by point guard Jalen Brunson, who averaged 25.5 points, 7.8 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game while shooting 47.8% from the floor in the series.

The series will come down to how well the Knicks can slow down the Spurs' 7-foot-4-inch phenom. If allowed to do so, Wemby can easily take over the series from anywhere on the floor. The Spurs' key to victory will be to lock down Brunson defensively. If San Antonio can make other Knicks the focal point of the offense, they have a great shot at another title.
