Reagan County Softball Season Ends Against Sundown

ANDREWS, TX — The Reagan County Lady Owls’ best season in program history ended Thursday with a 17-0 loss against Sundown.

While Reagan County was making its first-ever appearance in the regional final, Sundown is the defending state champion, and the Lady Roughnecks quickly overwhelmed the Lady Owls.

Reagan County previously had never been past the second round, but the Lady Owls won three playoff trophies this year during their historic postseason run.

Reagan County’s season ends with a record of 21-7.

Sundown improves to 28-3 and advances to the Class 2A Division II state semifinals against the winner of Lipan and Muenster.
