Early Voting Tops 23,000 on Final Day in Tom Green County

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Early voting turnout in Tom Green County has reached 23,187 ballots as of late Friday morning, representing 31.2 percent of registered voters, according to the elections office. 

Today is the final day of early voting. Turnout has climbed steadily since it began Oct. 19. The Elections Office reported 3,144 ballots as of Tuesday, Oct. 20; 6,340 as of Wednesday, Oct. 21; 8,680 as of Thursday, Oct. 22; 10,892 as of Friday morning, Oct. 23; 12,642 by the close of polls on Friday, Oct. 23; 15,415 as of Monday morning, Oct. 26; 17,232 as of Tuesday morning, Oct. 27; 19,129 as of Wednesday morning, Oct. 28; 21,162 as of Thursday morning, Oct. 29; and 23,187 as of late Friday morning. 

Returned absentee ballots were last reported at 1,700. Early voting ends today, Oct. 30. 

The main early voting site is the Edd B. and Frances Frink Keyes Building at 113 W. Beauregard Ave., which houses the county Election Office. Hours there are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. today. 

Additional early voting locations are:

• Concho Valley Transit District bus depot annex, 506 N. Chadbourne St.
• Westlake Ace Hardware, 1821 Knickerbocker Road
• Tom Green Polling Place training room, 3020 N. Bryant Blvd.
• MHMR Services for the Concho Valley Jack Ray Room, 1501 W. Beauregard Ave.

Hours at those four sites are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today.
