The District Clerks office will continue to work remotely until further notice. In light of working remotely for a 2nd week, we are working on a process to allow the public to visit and file documents in person at our temporary location.
Tom Green County Judge Steve Floyd was the guest speaker at the San Angelo Pachyderm Club luncheon for the last time Wednesday at Miss Hattie's Restaurant and talked about property taxes and the rise in valuations and budget pressures during his last appearance there as judge.
Tom Green County Commissioners banned outdoor burning effective at 9 a.m. Tuesday morning but took no action on aerial fireworks for the Independence Day Holiday.
The Texas Legislature allows counties to ban certain types of aerial fireworks depending on weather conditions but not outright ban all fireworks without a disaster declaration.
Significant portions of Tom Green County received adequate rainfall during thunderstorms that blew through Tuesday so that County Judge Steve Floyd lifted the ban on outdoor burning Wednesday morning.
Road Construction work will start tomorrow (Tuesday February 15) on West Carlsbad Loop and Burma Road. Traffic will be limited to one lane. Expect some delays.
