Dallas Cowboys' Schottenheimer Addresses Loss at Weekly Press Conference

FRISCO, TX — After a disappointing 28-20 road loss to the New York Giants in Week 1, the Dallas Cowboys look to bounce back against division rival Washington Commanders.

Head Coach Brian Schottenheimer discussed the loss at his weekly press conference held at The Star in Frisco on Tuesday.

Dallas trailed for almost the entire contest against the Giants on Sunday. Despite a 4th-quarter comeback, the Cowboys' defense never managed the stop Dallas needed after Javonte Williams scored with four and a half minutes to play in the 4th.

The Cowboys will have an opportunity to balance the scales in their home opener on Sunday against the Commanders. Washington fell to Philadelphia in Week 1, so both teams still seek their first win in 2026.

Kickoff in that matchup is scheduled for 3:25 p.m. in Arlington.
