Angelo State to Host College Rodeo This Month

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Angelo State University will host its annual National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association event Oct. 22-24, which will coincide with the Cinch Roping Fiesta.

The outdoor rodeo will be held at the Fiesta Arena at the San Angelo Fairgrounds, 200 W. 43rd St.

Other colleges expected to attend include Cisco College, Tarleton State, Sul Ross State, Ranger College, Vernon College and Weatherford College.

The first performance will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22. Slack will be held at 8 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, followed by the second performance at 6 p.m.

The short-go will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24.

Tickets for the first two performances can be purchased at ASU’s ticket office, 1600 University Ave., or online at ASU’s ticketing portal. ASU students can attend for free.

Friday’s slack is free for everyone.

Saturday’s short-go is only available by purchasing a weekend pass or single-day walk-up ticket at the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo Association’s Cinch Roping Fiesta, which can be purchased on its SASSRA website. The Cinch Roping Fiesta will be held Oct. 22-25 at the Spur Arena, 4720 Grape Creek Road.
