Lake View Lighting Up Scoreboard Against Snyder at Halftime

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Lake View Chiefs are having an electrifying home opener at San Angelo Stadium on Friday against Snyder.

The Chiefs have scored five touchdowns — including three by 6-foot-4 sophomore wide receiver Andrew Young — to fly out to a 35-0 lead.

Young hauled in a 34-yard over-the-shoulder grab to give Lake View a 7-0 lead on its first drive.

In the second quarter, he added a tackle-breaking 27-yard TD catch, followed by a leaping 10-yard TD grab over a defender.

Young finished the first half with five catches for 94 yards.

Lake View quarterback Chris Alvizo also threw a 12-yard TD pass to Juju Lacy, and Alvizo ran for a 3-yard score.

The Chiefs have now scored 76 points through the first six quarters of the season.

Defensively, Connor Williams has been living in the backfield, blowing up one play after another. He also recovered a muffed punt return.

Lake View’s Juan Ramirez also intercepted a pass, his second of the season.
