SAN ANGELO, TX — Here are our top 10 offensive linemen to watch heading into the upcoming 2026 high school football season in West Texas:
Ethan Boyd, San Angelo Central, Sr.
The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Boyd received nine NCAA Division I college offers before committing to play at UTSA. He has started 22 games for Central since the start of his sophomore year and earned first-team All-District 2-6A honors last season. He helped the Bobcats go 8-4 last year and average 35 points per game, and he’ll be the centerpiece of their offense this fall.

Nasir Menefield, Brady, Sr.
The 6-foot-5, 365-pound Menefield is an imposing presence on the offensive line, and he’s a rare lineman who was named Co-MVP of his district. He had a remarkable 61 pancake blocks last year and graded out at 96% as a blocker. He was also a force on defense with 72 tackles, including 21 tackles for loss. As he heads into his fourth year as a starter, Menefield gives Brady invaluable leadership up front.

Charles Harger, Ozona, Sr.
The 6-1, 240-pound Harger helped pave the way for Christian Villarreal’s 3,667-yard rushing season last year. He was the Offensive Lineman of the Year in his district and graded out at a remarkable 98%. He didn’t allow a sack in 140 dropbacks. He’s the leader of an Ozona offensive line that was ranked No. 2 in the state in Class 2A by Texas Football.
Jackson Contrucci/Hudson Contrucci, Mason, Jrs.
The Contrucci twins are a combined 560 pounds of blocking power for the Punchers. Jackson (6-3, 265) and Hudson (6-3, 295) each earned first-team all-district honors last year as sophomores, and they’ve each received an offer to play at NCAA Division I UTEP. These brothers are a big reason why Mason is ranked No. 5 in the state in Class 2A Division I after last year’s run to the state quarterfinals.
Gage Jacoby, Wall, Sr.
Jacoby is the lone returning starter up front for the Hawks after last year’s state championship season. The 5-11, 235-pounder graded out at 92% and allowed three sacks for a team that threw the ball 426 times. He’ll be counted on to lead the way in the trenches this year.

Sergio Almaguer, Ozona, Jr.
The 6-foot-4, 285-pound Almaguer emerged as one of the best linemen in West Texas last year as a sophomore when he graded out at 93% and allowed only one sack in 140 dropbacks. He also helped block for Christian Villarreal during his 3,667-yard campaign. Almaguer has added 25 pounds since last year and will look to take his game to the next level
Edgar Torres, Grape Creek, Sr.
Torres was the leader of Grape Creek’s offensive line last year as a junior. The 6-foot, 230-pounder graded out at 91% and helped spring Darrell West for 1,965 yards. Torres will be a big building block for the Eagles as they retool their run-heavy offense.
Brice Roesler, Richland Springs, Sr.
Described by his coach as a “devastating blocker,” the 6-2, 175-pound Roesler may be the best six-man lineman in our area. He showed off his strength and athleticism last spring by winning the gold medal in the shot put and discus at the 1A state track meet. In addition to his blocking, he also added 11 catches for 185 yards and three TDs and ran for a score.
Parker Havercroft, San Angelo Central, Sr.
The 6-foot, 280-pound Havercroft was an honorable mention All-District 2-6A pick for Central last year as the team’s starting center. He has earned two college offers since then and returns to help anchor the Bobcats up front.
Jeffrey Flood, San Angelo Central, Sr.
The 6-foot, 260-pound Flood is a leading candidate to move into the Bobcats’ starting offensive line. He has picked up three college offers and appears ready to emerge as one of our area’s better blockers.

Honorable Mention
Alex Mata, Ozona, Sr.
Mata has impressive size at 6-foot-4 and 275 pounds. He earned first-team all-district honors last year and was a key part of the Lions’ offensive line that was recently ranked No. 2 in the state in Class 2A by Texas Football.
Jaxon Hohensee, Miles, Sr.
Hohensee is one of our smaller linemen at 5-11, 210 pounds, but he gets the job done. A first-team all-district selection on both sides of the line, Hohensee rarely left the field and gave the Bulldogs critical leadership in the trenches during a season in which they struggled. He’ll look to help Miles bounce back this fall.
Jordan Vega, Ozona, Sr.
Vega is another key piece of Ozona’s dominant offensive line. He stands 6-6 and 260 pounds, and he’s coming off a second-team all-district performance last year. If he can continue to develop, Ozona’s offensive line could be really scary.
Jose Ibarra, San Angelo Central, Sr.
Ibarra has a chance to break into the starting lineup for Central this fall. The 6-2, 270-pounder was a backup lineman last year, and he has worked in the offseason to move up the ladder. He has earned a college offer to Howard Payne.
