FRISCO, TX — The Dallas Cowboys will hold a joint practice with the Los Angeles Rams during training camp in Southern California later this summer, head coach Brian Schottenheimer announced during voluntary OTAs.
The joint session will provide an early test for a revamped Cowboys roster that includes first-round pick Caleb Downs and features ongoing attention surrounding George Pickens.
Dallas will face a Rams team that recently added two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett in a trade with the Cleveland Browns. The practice will give the Cowboys an early look at Garrett before the teams meet in the regular season.
The Cowboys’ offense and offensive line are expected to be tested by a Rams defense that was already among the league’s top units, while Dallas’ defense — now led by new coordinator Christian Parker — will prepare to face quarterback Matthew Stafford.
The teams have held joint practices multiple times in recent years, including during the 2025 training camp in Oxnard, California.
Dallas is also scheduled to participate in a second joint practice this summer with the New Orleans Saints, now led by head coach Kellen Moore.
The Cowboys enter the 2026 season looking to rebound after going a combined 14-19-1 over the past two seasons and missing the playoffs both years.
