San Angelo Central’s Saldivar Signs With Angelo State

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo Central softball standout Micaela “KK” Saldivar signed Wednesday to play for Angelo State University.

Saldivar is a third baseman and pitcher for the Lady Cats who earned second-team All-District 2-6A honors last season.

She showed off her skills at the plate Tuesday against Brownwood, going 2 for 4 with a double, four RBIs and a run scored.

Saldivar is joining an ASU team that consistently fields one of the best softball programs in the nation in NCAA Division II. The Rambelles are currently ranked No. 8 in the country with a 15-4 record.

Saldivar and the Lady Cats will make their next home appearance at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday against Abilene High at the Central Softball Complex.
