SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo Lake View senior Braylon White announced his second college football offer Monday, this one from McMurry University in Abilene.
White, a first-team all-district selection for the Chiefs as a wide receiver and defensive back, has also been offered by Nelson University in Waxahachie.
McMurry is an NCAA Division III school, while Nelson competes in the NAIA ranks.
White was one of the most productive wideouts in West Texas last season with 66 catches for 882 yards and 13 touchdowns.
The 6-foot, 170-pound White helped lead an explosive Lake View offense that averaged 43 points per game. The Chiefs went 7-4 for their winningest season in 29 years.
White is an outstanding athlete who also stars for Lake View’s basketball team, where he passed the 1,000-point career mark last season while leading the Chiefs to their first playoff win in 26 years. They’re currently 23-12 this season heading into Tuesday’s regular-season finale.
