WALL, TX — Wall High School senior Brady Neal has signed to continue his football career at Sul Ross State University in Alpine.
The 5-foot-11, 190-pound Neal was a bruising back who gave Wall an important rushing element in an offense built around the passing game.
Neal led the Hawks’ rushing attack last season with 192 carries for 1,081 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also had 14 catches for 148 yards and two scores.
It was a breakout season for Neal, who had only seven carries as a junior. His emergence in the running game his senior year helped the Hawks win their first-ever state title in football.
Neal was selected to the San Angelo LIVE! All-Cover 1 Team, and he was a first-team all-state honoree in the Padilla Coaches Poll.
Neal will play for a Sul Ross program that competes in NCAA Division II in the Lone Star Conference with Angelo State University.
