Angelo State Indoor Track Opens 2026 in Lubbock

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Angelo State indoor track and field teams will open their 2026 slate this weekend as they travel to Lubbock for the Corky Classic, hosted by Texas Tech at the Sports Performance Center.

The two-day meet begins Friday at 3 p.m. with the weight throw, followed by running events at 3:30 p.m. Saturday’s competition opens at 11 a.m. with the shot put and triple jump, with track events starting at 11:30 a.m. Both days will stream on ESPN+.

Angelo State enters the meet following an impressive opening weekend in Pittsburg, Kansas, where the Rams and Rambelles combined for seven NCAA Division II provisional marks.

The Rams currently hold the Lone Star Conference’s top mark in five events:
Diamante (200m), Opare (400m), Adrian Nethersole (800m), the 4x400m relay, and Jeremiah King (shot put).

The Rambelles lead the LSC in one event: Kylyie Paden in the pole vault.
