Work Begins on Puncherdome Reconstruction After 2024 Storm

MASON, TX— Construction on the new and improved Puncherdome has begun after the old stands were damaged in a storm.

Fletco Construction has already released pictures of the concept art for the Puncherdome, which looks nearly identical to the iconic stadium. On Jan. 9, Mason ISD posted the following on its Facebook page:

"An exciting milestone for the Puncherdome! Our Board Members, Superintendent, and Fletco Construction Team gathered this morning for a ceremonial groundbreaking. Along with this milestone, we’re sharing a few progress photos and look forward to providing updates as work continues!"

The original was demolished on Dec. 17, 2025, after a May 2024 storm damaged it.

Back in November, Flecto Construction said it was proud to have been awarded the project, officially named R. Clinton Schulze Stadium.

After the 2024 storm, deer blinds were set up as a temporary press box, but now it looks like the Mason Punchers will have a new home soon.

Mason ISD will continue to provide updates as the reconstruction process moves forward.
