SAN ANGELO, Texas — UT Permian Basin’s efficient shooting night proved too much for Angelo State on Tuesday as the Rambelles fell 76–67 at the Junell Center–Stephens Arena.
The loss drops ASU to 5–9 overall and 3–5 in Lone Star Conference play.
UTPB shot 51% from the field and 47.6% from 3-point range, while Angelo State finished at 37.5% overall and 38.9% from deep. The Falcons also held a 36–29 rebounding advantage in the conference matchup.
Rambelles Leaders
Majik Esquivel posted a team-high 20 points, including 10 made free throws, and added a game-best four steals.
Landry Morrow recorded 16 points, seven rebounds, and five assists in one of her strongest all-around efforts of the season.
Taylor Grona, Kenna Wood, and Halle Hughes each contributed seven points. Grona added four boards, while Wood tallied two blocks.
Stevi Lockheart, Briley Merket, and Tristin Keller also scored for ASU.
