SAN ANGELO, TX — A second Awesome Donut shop is among the commercial projects that received building permits in October 2026, according to the city’s monthly Permit and Inspection Report.
The new location at 1530 S. Bell St. was issued a $307,966 permit. It will be a remodel of an existing structure into a donut store covering about 1,722 square feet.
The project is owned by Awesome Donuts, LLC (the same company behind the original store at 4382 Southwest Blvd.) and is privately funded. Construction is targeted for completion by April 15, 2027, according to Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation records.
The original Awesome Donut opened in September 2024 and has been popular enough that managers say they decided to expand to better serve customers on the other side of town, near Goodfellow Air Force Base. No grand opening date for the new shop has been announced yet.
