SAN ANGELO, TX -- Angelo State University's Kay Bailey Hutchison Institute and Small Business Development Center will host the 2026 AI & Cyber Summit on Thursday, Oct. 15, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Houston Harte University Center at 1910 Rosemont Drive.
With the theme, "Trust in the Age of AI: Building Resilient Systems," the event will take place in the University Center's C.J. Davidson Conference Center and is free and open to the public. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
The AI & Cyber Summit is designed to give the community a day focusing on common cybersecurity and artificial intelligence topics and literacy. More specifically, this year's event will provide insight into the rapidly evolving landscape of AI and cybersecurity, including the latest in data security, how AI is impacting K-12 education, and how to use AI to streamline daily tasks at home and in business.
The summit's keynote address will be presented by George Couros, a globally recognized leader in innovation and a best-selling author. He is also the host of "The Innovator's Mindset" podcast and an international speaker whose presentations have reached leaders across five continents. His message emphasizes the power of innovation, relationships and community to create meaningful and lasting change.
In addition to Couros' presentation and other speakers, the summit will feature educational sessions that will include:
