SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Association of Realtors has endorsed incumbent Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Susan Werner in her campaign for re-election in November.
Werner, who was appointed to the bench in 2016 and formally elected in 2018, is the most experienced JP currently seated in Tom Green County.
She previously served eight years as a court clerk and was a certified master clerk when she was appointed to the bench 10 years ago.
“I hope to continue serving Tom Green County in the courtroom,” Werner said. “The JP courts are vital to the local judicial process. My experience and training keep the docket moving efficiently and fairly, and I am proud to bring that benefit to the voters.”
The San Angelo Association of Realtors previously endorsed Werner in 2018 and 2022. The association stated it remains active in the local political process by supporting candidates it feels will have the most positive impact on private property rights and home ownership in the area.
Werner, a Republican, will face a Democratic opponent in the Nov. 3 general election.
Early voting will begin Oct. 19.
