San Angelo Native Named New TLCA Assistant Principal

SAN ANGELO, TX - Texas Leadership of San Angelo is welcoming a new high school assistant principal, Erica Soto.

Soto, a San Angelo native, has 23 years of experience in education, serving as a teacher, high school counselor in Virginia, at-risk coordinator and counselor for a disciplinary alternative education program, and middle school counselor.

"Ms. Soto brings not only a wealth of experience, but a heart to serve and advocate for students, staff, and families," a TLCA Facebook post stated.

Before moving positions, she was a counselor at Lincoln Middle School, where she received an excellence award last year from the Texas School Counselor Association.

"While my title may be changing, my heart remains the same. Counseling has shaped who I am as an educator, and it will always be a part of me," Soto stated. "The relationships, compassion, advocacy, and support that guided my work as a counselor will continue to guide my leadership as an administrator."
