SAN ANGELO, TX - Angelo State University's Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and Norris-Vincent College of Business (NVCOB) have announced the winners of the 2026 BizPitch student entrepreneurship competition following the recent live finals event in the Houston Harte University Center.
The BizPitch competition began in January when individual ASU students or teams of up to four students were invited to submit video pitches of their ideas for new business startups. A panel of ASU business faculty and SBDC specialists selected five finalists to make live pitch presentations to a panel of judges made up of local business professionals.
Winners of the 2026 BizPitch competition are:
First Place ($2,500 prize) - StimMouse
Audrey Spearman of Christoval - M.Ed. in student development and leadership in higher education
Business Tagline: "A discreet vibrating computer mouse designed to support focus and self-regulation in professional settings."
Second Place ($1,500 prize) - LogistiQ
Anali Rivera of Del Rio - management major
Han Ly of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam - management and marketing major
Business Tagline: "Secure. Smart. On Your Schedule."
Third Place ($1,000 prize) - ScanHire
M'Khi Marksjones of Killeen - management and marketing major
Business Tagline: "An AI-powered resume-scanning platform that helps job seekers optimize their resumes for applicant tracking systems and improve the interview process."
Finalist ($250 prize) - Arden Wellness
Paige Ross of Pinehurst - M.A. in professional counseling
Business Tagline: "Arden Wellness is a proximity-based maternal wellness studio combining sensory regulation, coworking, and structured child enrichment."
Finalist ($250 prize) - MyThink
Dohyeong Kwon of Busan, South Korea, computer science major
Shinhyuk Park of Busan, South Korea - M.S. in artificial intelligence
Business Tagline: "Make you think!"
The finalists each made eight-minute live presentations to the judges and answered judges' questions during the finals event. The cash prizes are for the winners to use as seed money for their new ventures.

The BizPitch competition is designed to provide ASU students with opportunities to learn through interaction with SBDC business advisors, ASU faculty mentors and ASU alumni who are successful in business, as well as to promote and foster student entrepreneurship at ASU.
