SAN ANGELO, TX — More than $4 million was raised during last year’s San Angelo Gives event, and organizers are already opening the window for this year’s donations ahead of schedule.
Early giving for San Angelo Gives began Tuesday, April 21, allowing donors to contribute online two weeks before the official 24-hour fundraising event on May 5.
San Angelo Gives is a 24-hour online campaign organized by the San Angelo Area Foundation to support nonprofit organizations across San Angelo and the Concho Valley. The event will begin at midnight May 5 and run through 11:59 p.m. the same day, with all donations required to be submitted through its official website.
Hundreds of local organizations are expected to participate, with donors able to direct contributions to causes of their choice. Participating nonprofits may also receive additional funding through “amplification funds” and prize incentives provided by community partners, increasing the total impact of donations.
According to event organizers, the initiative aims to bring the community together for a concentrated day of giving to support local charitable work. The event is modeled after similar giving days hosted by community foundations nationwide.
In 2025, San Angelo Gives raised a preliminary total of $4,156,822 from 10,567 donations, benefiting 266 organizations in the region. Officials noted totals are subject to final verification, including prize distributions and matching funds.
Since its launch in 2015, the event has generated more than $30 million for nonprofit efforts throughout the Concho Valley.
More information, including donation guidelines and prize criteria, is available on the San Angelo Gives website.
