Popular San Angelo Pizzeria Closing its Doors

SAN ANGELO, TX — A popular San Angelo pizzeria has announced it will close its doors after serving the community for the last six years.

In a Facebook post, Old Central Firehouse Pizzeria & Taproom announced it is closing the restaurant and selling the building. 

The post reads:

"Six years ago, our family opened the doors of the Firehouse Pizzeria with a dream and a lot of heart. What we didn’t fully realize then was just how many memories this building would come to hold — not just for us, but for our entire community.

"This historic firehouse has been more than a restaurant to our family. It has been part of our lives. Within these walls we’ve celebrated birthdays, engagements, weddings, and so many milestones. We’ve welcomed grandbabies home, gathered around tables with friends and family, and watched countless moments unfold that we will carry with us forever.

"For six years, you all made this place special. Your support, your laughter, your traditions, and your loyalty turned the Firehouse into something far greater than a pizzeria. It became a place where memories were made.

"Because of that, this moment is incredibly bittersweet for our family as we announce that we will be closing the restaurant and selling the building.

"While the pizzeria chapter is coming to a close, we are proud to introduce the new owners who share a deep appreciation for this historic building. Their vision is to preserve the firehouse and its integrity by creating a much-needed venue space downstairs while continuing the bed-and-breakfast upstairs.

"Knowing the building will continue to serve our community and be filled with life and celebration means a great deal to us.

"And while the Firehouse Pizzeria will be closing, your favorite pizzas aren’t going anywhere. We are excited to continue serving you out at Lakehouse Pizzeria & Taproom.

"As we close this chapter, we simply want to say thank you.
