TGC Sheriff’s Office Launches Impaired Driving Mobilization for Spring Break

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with the Texas Department of Transportation to detect and deter impaired drivers during the upcoming Spring Break period.

The “Impaired Driving Mobilization” program will run from March 6 through March 22, 2026, the sheriff’s office announced Wednesday.

Officials said the effort comes as motor vehicle travel increases with the spring season. The goal is to reduce serious crashes caused by impaired driving and keep the community safe.

“Enjoy Spring Break responsibly. Plan ahead, drive sober, and look out for one another,” the office stated in an email to residents. “Your safety is our priority.”
