Fairmount Cemetery Cleanup Set for Jan. 15 in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX — Staff at Fairmount Cemetery will conduct a cleanup of the burial grounds on Thursday, Jan. 15, removing flowers and other items from gravesites to allow for cleaning and trimming of the property.

Visitors wishing to preserve items must remove them by the end of the day on Wednesday, Jan. 14, according to an announcement from the City of San Angelo.

Removed items will be held for one week, with unclaimed items disposed of on Friday, Jan. 23. Preserved items may be returned to the cemetery, located at 1100 W. Avenue N, beginning Friday, Jan. 30.

Lot owners are reminded that flowers should be placed only on the sides or in cradles on top of monuments to facilitate maintenance.For more information, call 325-655-9475.
