Texas Attorney General Candidate Aaron Reitz with San Angelo LIVE!'s Joe Hyde

SAN ANGELO, TX— San Angelo LIVE!'s Joe Hyde sat down with Texas Attorney General candidate Aaron Reitz.

According to Reitz's website, Reitz is a former U.S. Marine and was deployed to Afghanistan. He is a graduate of Texas A&M and also studied at the University of Texas' School of Law. He practiced law in Houston, Texas and also worked for Texas Supreme Court Justice Jimmy Blacklock and served as Deputy Attorney General for Legal Strategy under Ken Paxton. In that role, Reitz led Texas's legal pushback against the Joe Biden's abuse of power, suing his administration 46 times.

Reitz was appointed to lead the Department of Justice's Office of Legal Policy under Pam Bondi by President Donald Trump.

Reitz is also a husband, father of 4, and is a Marine Corps Reserve Major.
