Dune: Part Three Drops Teaser Trailer Online

ARRAKIS — The first trailer for the final chapter in the Dune franchise has been released.

Timothee Chalamet may not have won an Oscar for Marty Supreme, but now he’s coming back this December and bringing his Fremen army, and an old/new friend, with him in Dune: Part Three.

Dune: Part Two ended with Chalamet’s Paul Atreides killing Feyd-Rautha, taking the hand of Emperor Shaddam IV’s daughter, Irulan, and leading the devoted Fremen into a holy war across the universe. Director Denis Villeneuve says Dune: Part Three takes place 17 years later and will be based on Frank Herbet’s Dune Messiah.

A couple of interesting characters in the trailer are Jason Momoa as Hayt, a Duncan Idaho ghola or clone. Another is Robert Pattinson’s Scytale, a Tleilaxu Face Dancer, who is an antagonist that can shapeshift.

Also back is Denis Villeneuve for the last time on Arrakis as he says this is his last installment.

The film will feature:

  • Paul Atreides - Timothee Chalamet (Marty Supreme, A Complete Unknown)
  • Chani - Zendaya (Challengers, Spider-Man: No Way Home)
  • Princess Irulan - Florence Pugh (Thunderbolts, We Live in Time)
  • Lady Jessica - Rebecca Ferguson (Life, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man)
  • Alia Atreides - Anya Taylor-Joy (Furiosa, Last Night in Soho)
  • Scytale - Robert Pattinson (The Batman, Die My Love)
  • Stilgar - Jarvier Bardem (No Country for Old Men, F1)
  • Hayt - Jason Momoa (Aquaman, Supergirl)
  • Farok - Issach de Bankole (The Brutalist, Black Panther)

Composer Hans Zimmer is also coming back as part of his score is heard in the trailer.

Dune: Part Three releases in theaters on December. 18, 2026.
