NFL Owner Arrested for Suspicion of Engaging in Prostitution

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The owner of the San Francisco 49ers has pled no contest after being arrested on suspicion of engaging in prostitution.

According to Columbiana, Ohio court documents, East Palestine police arrested Jed York on Sunday. The charge of engaging in prostitution was amended due to a plea deal to disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor, and York was also charged with possessing criminal tools.

York, who pleaded no contest, has paid over $1,000 in fines. He was also sentenced to one day in jail for each of the two charges, having already served one.

York is the majority owner of the 49ers and is originally from Youngstown, Ohio.

This isn’t the first time the 49ers have found themselves in off-the-field news this year as head coach Kyle Shanahan was in a car crash in Palo Alto, California, and suffered serious injuries, including a concussion, broken ribs, a broken nose and broken hand.

Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has also been involved in a nasty contract situation with the 49ers front office. He took to social media to bash the organization as a result.
