Texas Parents Arrested After 4 Children Test Positive for Fentanyl

 

LAKESIDE, TX — Two parents were arrested after four children under age 10 tested positive for fentanyl, according to Lakeside police.

Auston Patrick Green and Cindy Cristina Chevez Batres were arrested Sunday, Aug. 9, following a weekend manhunt. Both were booked into the Tarrant County Jail in Fort Worth on Monday.

Lakeside police said a joint investigation with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services determined the four children had been exposed to fentanyl. 

Medical evaluations confirmed that all four tested positive for the drug.

Green and Chevez Batres each face four counts of child endangerment.

Green's total bond was set at $40,000, while Chevez Batres' bond was set at $30,000.
