Ozona Middle School Evacuated After Bomb Threat

 

OZONA, TX — A bomb threat was reported at the middle school in Ozona on Tuesday, prompting an immediate evacuation of all students and staff, authorities reported. 

The Crockett County Sheriff’s Office said established evacuation protocols were implemented immediately. All students and staff were safely evacuated from the campus and all students have been accounted for, the agency stated in a statement released Tuesday afternoon. 

Law enforcement officials conducted a thorough search of Crockett County Middle School and found no credible threat. The building has been cleared and there is no active threat at this time, the sheriff’s office said. 

The matter remains an ongoing investigation as authorities work to identify the source of the call, according to the statement.
