Fort Hood Gynecologist Faces Charges Against 73 Victims

FORT HOOD, TX — The number of alleged victims in the criminal case against a Fort Hood gynecologist has surged to 73, nearly tripling as the U.S. Army expanded charges against him this week.

The U.S. Army Office of Special Trial Counsel announced April 7 that Maj. Blaine McGraw, 47, now faces six charges and 146 specifications for alleged offenses occurring between Oct. 6, 2023, and Dec. 1, 2025.

The expanded case includes 64 specifications of sexual abuse and assault and 66 specifications of indecent recording, along with 13 specifications of conduct unbecoming an officer. Additional allegations include one specification each of attempted sexual assault, extramarital sexual misconduct and willfully disobeying a superior commissioned officer. The charges were filed under Articles 120, 120c, 133, 134 and 90 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

Army officials said most of the alleged offenses occurred during medical examinations involving female patients at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center between October 2023 and October 2025. A 73rd alleged victim, who was not a patient, was reportedly recorded without consent at a private residence near Fort Hood.

The new charges build on those initially filed Dec. 9, 2025, which included 54 specifications of indecent visual recording, five specifications of conduct unbecoming an officer, one specification of willful disobedience of a superior officer and one specification of making a false official statement.

McGraw waived a preliminary hearing for the original charges. With the additional charges now filed, the Army said a neutral officer will be assigned and a date will be set for a preliminary hearing.

In a separate civil case, more than 80 women have filed a lawsuit seeking over $82 million in damages, alleging sexual misconduct and voyeurism at the medical center. In January 2026, McGraw filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit, citing improper venue and lack of jurisdiction.

Bell County District Judge Mike Russell denied that motion March 26. McGraw has since filed a motion for special exception and remains in pretrial confinement at the Bell County Jail.
