WALL, TX — A Wall Middle School student has passed away, the school district announced Monday afternoon.
Wall Middle School has issued a release stating that a 6th-grade student passed away on Sunday afternoon.
The information states:
"Wall Middle School Families,
Today, we were saddened to share with our students the news of a student who passed away yesterday afternoon.
Our deepest condolences go out to the family of Rhyder McCray and all of the friends who cared for him. Rhyder was a 6th-grade student here at Wall Middle School, and he will be deeply missed.
Today, our students heard this news directly from our campus administration, and counseling and support resources were available on campus for any student or staff member who needed them. Those resources will continue to be available in the days ahead as we support our students and one another.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this unimaginable time, and we will continue to surround them with love and support as they navigate this difficult loss. Rhyder will always be a part of the Wall Hawk Family, and we know his is SOARRing high.

This past Sunday, we reported that first responders were dispatched to Vancourt regarding an ATV crash. The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office confirmed to San Angelo LIVE! that the crash was fatal and provided the identity of the deceased.
