Update: SAPD Officer Injured in Crash on Houston Harte

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo Police Department traffic officer was involved in a crash on the Houston Harte Expressway this Wednesday evening, according to a press briefing shared by the San Angelo Police Department. 

It happened at about 5 p.m. in the 2800 block of the expressway headed westbound between Garfield and Howard streets. 

The cop sustained non-life-threatening injuries from the single-vehicle crash. 

The San Angelo Police Department issued a Nixle alert at 5:14 p.m. advising the public to steer clear of the area. 

The investigation is being handled by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
