WATCH: Failure to Yield Leads to Major Crash on North Chadbourne

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A crash on North Chadbourne Street sent one person to the hospital after a vehicle failed to yield the right of way.

Around 1:10 p.m. on Monday, July 6, first responders were dispatched to the intersection of North Chadbourne Street and East 15th Street regarding a major crash. 

On scene, reporters observed a silver sedan with front-end and driver-side damage and a maroon pickup truck with front-end damage.

According to a San Angelo police officer, the silver Mazda 3 was driving eastbound on East 15th Street and was attempting to turn north on Chadbourne Street. The maroon Dodge pickup was traveling southbound on Chadbourne Street when the Mazda 3 failed to yield the right of way from the stop sign and pulled out into traffic.

There was one occupant in each vehicle, and the driver of the Mazda was transported to Shannon Medical Center for further evaluation. No citations have been issued at this time.
