UPDATE: Road Worker Breaks Leg in Accident on Houston Harte

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A road worker had his leg broken when he was backed over by a construction vehicle Tuesday morning on the Houston Harte Expressway, according to the San Angelo Police Department.

The incident, which occurred about 10:15 a.m., shut down all eastbound traffic on the roadway near the Main Street bridge.

Police directed all traffic off Houston Harte onto the Main Street exit as they investigated the incident while the man received medical attention from first responders.

The man was then transported by ambulance to Shannon Medical Center to be treated.

The roadwork on Houston Harte is pat of a multi-month project to resurface the road that began last week.
