6-Vehicle Crash Backs Up Traffic on Knickerbocker

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Traffic was significantly affected Wednesday after a six-vehicle crash on Knickerbocker Road.

The crash occurred about 1 p.m. at the intersection of Knickerbocker Road and Sunset Drive.

According to a traffic officer with the San Angelo Police Department, a vehicle traveling southwest on Knickerbocker ran a red light to trigger the multi-car collision.

The first vehicle that was hit then crashed into other vehicles in the oncoming lane of traffic.

Only one person was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Southwest traffic on Knickerbocker was reduced to one lane, while no traffic was permitted to turn right onto Sunset Drive until the scene was cleared.
