Firefighters 'Quickly' Contain Wall Structure Fire

WALL, TX — Firefighters from the Wall Volunteer Fire Department and East Concho Volunteer Fire Department knocked down a working structure fire Monday afternoon and prevented it from spreading to nearby buildings.

The departments were dispatched at 4:12 p.m. to the fire. Crews arrived and launched an aggressive attack, bringing the blaze under control quickly before transitioning to mop-up and overhaul operations to extinguish hot spots, according to information from the Wall VFD.

The shed where the fire originated was destroyed, but firefighters contained the flames to the point of origin. No other structures were damaged.

The Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office assisted on scene. All firefighters returned safely.
