Runnels County Game Warden Honored for Saving Crash Victim's Life

BALLINGER, TX — Runnels County Game Warden Keegan Moore received the Director's Life Saving Citation from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for his quick actions that saved a driver's life after a serious crash last fall.

Moore was traveling through Coleman County when he encountered a major accident involving a vehicle and a large piece of construction equipment. He found a bystander assisting the driver, who was suffering from a severe arm laceration and heavy bleeding.

Recognizing the life-threatening injury, Moore immediately applied a tourniquet, controlling the bleeding and stabilizing the victim. A responding paramedic later confirmed that the timely intervention saved the man's life.

The award recognizes Moore's decisive response in an emergency situation.
