Elidia Mendoza, 92, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2026, in San Angelo.
Public viewing will be from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM with the Rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM Thursday, November 5, 2026, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass will be at 10:30 AM Friday, November 7, 2026, at St. Mary's Catholic church with Fr. Joey Forlano, officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mendoza was born July 30, 1934 in Ben Arnold to Casimiro and Maria Guerrero. Elidia has been a lifelong resident of San Angelo, where she attended school. Elidia married Ramon Mendoza on July 28, 1985 in San Angelo. He preceded her in death in 2008. Elidia retired from Ethicon, Inc a Johnson & Johnson Co. in 1992 after 21 years of service as a supply tech. She was a catholic and loved to attend masses at different churches. Elidia ejoyed going to work, dancing, cooking, crocheting, and embroydering.
Survivors include two sons, Jesse San Miguel and Alfredo San Miguel; a daughter, Maria Alonso and husband Pedro; three step-children, Ramon Mendoza, Jr., Jacinto Mendoza, Rosaura Fonseca; seven grandchildren, Roseanna San Miguel, Jessica San Miguel, Robert San Miguel, Madison San Miguel, Adrian Alonso and wife Donna, Gerad Alonso and partner Andrew, Marisa Fernandez and husband Shaune; 10 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; and a special nephew, Carlos Guerrero and wife Alicia.
Pallbearers will be: Roseanna San Miguel, Robert San Miguel, Gerad Alonso, Andrew Luecke, Gabriel Alonso, and Michael Alonso.
