Julia L. Gonzales, 90, of San Angelo went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. Mrs. Gonzales was born on September 18, 1936 in San Angelo to Ventura and Esperanza Lopez. Julia was a beautician, homemaker, mother and she loved spanish music and loved to dance. As a child in school she was a part of Balarinas de folklorico.
Julia is preceded in death by her parents, Ventura and Esperanza C. Lopez; a daughter, Mary Ellen Arocha; and several siblings.
She is survived by her children, Rosanne Flores and husband Earnest, Juan Gonzales Jr. and wife Irene, Brenda Gonzales, James Gonzales, Sonny Gonzales, Raymond Gonzales and wife Sandra, Orlando Gonzales and wife Sandy; two sisters, Amelia L Halas of Boston, Massachusetes and Amaila L Sayre of Dayton, Ohio, as well as 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the health care staff a Hospice of San Angelo; and the staff, nurses and aides from St Juanita Nursing and Rehab. Julia will be dearly missed by her children.
