Lorenzo Castaneda, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, renowned artist, and former professional boxer, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, courage, and devotion to his family.
Lorenzo shared a lifetime of love and cherished memories with his wife of 65 years, Tina Castaneda. Together, they raised their two daughters, Leticia Rannie and Diana Diaz de Leon, and built a loving family that was Lorenzo’s greatest source of joy and pride. He treasured his role as a grandfather to his five grandchildren and as a great-grandfather to his four great-grandchildren. He also held a special place in his heart for his sisters, Gloria, Esther, Beatrice, and his deceased sister Alvesa. His love, guidance, and example will remain with them always.
Throughout his life, Lorenzo’s determination and many talents were evident. As a professional boxer, he demonstrated discipline, courage, and perseverance. As a renowned artist, he expressed his deep appreciation for the American West through his distinctive paintings, capturing the culture and landscapes he admired.

A Rosary will be held at Johnson's Funeral Home, 435 West Beauregard, San Angelo, TX 76903, US, on September 10, 2026, at 6:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held at St Mary's Catholic Church, 7 W Ave N, San Angelo, TX 76903, US, on September 11, 2026, at 10:30 am with burial to follow at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
