Ramona "Momo" Garcia, 69, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 1, 2026.
Public viewing will be from 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 17, 2026 at Calvary Catholic Cemetery with Lupe Hernandez, officiating.
Ramona was born March 6, 1957 in Big Spring, Texas. Ramona was raised by Carmel and Fermina Gaitan. Later in life she moved to San Angelo where she would meet the love of her life Gilbert Garcia and marry October of 1972. He preceded her in death January 3, 2025. For many years, Ramona faithfully worked in housekeeping, and one of her greatest joys was bringing some of her grandchildren to work with her, creating cherished memories they will carry in their hearts forever. She loved playing loteria, having family gatherings and you could always find Ramona praying. She was a God fearing women who loved attending church, she would attend Hosanna Church until her health worsened, but that didn't stop her from opening up her bible and reading scriptures. She knew her strong faith was the reason she could say she was a cancer survivor. Ramona had a deep love for her kids, grandkids and the rest of the family.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Rosa Flores and great-granddaughter, Legacye Renee Parker.
Ramona is survived by her four daughters; Elizabeth "Lisa" Pina, Leticia Garcia, Corina Garcia and husband Mag Suniga, and Laura Garcia and husband Israel Reyes; 11 grandchildren, Baby Mag Suniga, Jr., Chone Suniga, Annalisa Botello and wife Megan, Mario Hernandez and wife Guadalupe, Felix Pina, Jr. and wife Miranda, Gibby Reyes, Fred Angel Garcia, Alex Parker and wife Monique, I.J. Reyes and wife Megan, Lorena Reyes and Isabel Reyes; one bonus grandson, Brandon Tristan; 9 great grandchildren, Yessica, Alina, Serenity, Alizae, Angelo, Junior, Savior, Salice and Zariyah; two brothers, Lupe Gaitan and Freddy Gaitan; two sisters, Estella Cortez and San Juanita Medrano; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Felix Pina, Jr., Mario Hernandez, I.J. Reyes, Alex Parker, Israel Reyes, Megan Botello, Mag Suniga, and Brandon Tristen.
